Through the Federation’s own model, Safe-T-Cert, we can rightly claim to be an industry leader in health and safety standards – and this is something we are keen to advance, in a way that brings direct economic benefit to construction companies.

In a similar way, industry sees itself as a positive setter of higher standards in respect of promoting environmental good practice in its work. The introduction of the requirement to have an environmental management system for all main contractors seeking public sector work is something that we support and we have developed our own construction specific tool, NVIR-O-CERT, to help embed this system.
