CSR Scheme Improvements and Card Price Increase

CSR is delighted to announce some upcoming improvements to the card scheme next year.

CSR is moving to a new online card management system. For cardholders, it will include an app with a digital card so cards will be accessible through cardholder's phones. Overall checking of cards will become much easier as physical cards will have an NFC chip and digital cards will display a dynamic QR code meaning that the majority of CSR cards will be checkable in real time via the CSCS Smart Check card checker. This means employers can check cards instantly but also that CSR cards will be more widely recognised and accepted throughout the UK. It will also ensure CSR continues to meet the CLC One Industry Logo standards.

CSR Card Price Increase

The price of a CSR card will increase 5% from 1 January 2026. The majority of cards will increase from £28 plus VAT to £29.40. This is the first price increase in six years.
