Babcock Rail win Achieving Excellence in Partnering category at CEF Excellence Awards
20 October 2023 CEF Excellence Awards
Babcock Rail have taken the ‘Achieving Excellence in Partnering Award’ for Lagan Junction to Yorkgate track renewal, Belfast at the 2023 CEF Excellence Awards.
This year’s Awards, the 24th edition since they commenced in 1999, represented the biggest to date with some 26 Award winners on the evening and nearly 600 in attendance at the Crowne Plaza in Belfast. The event was this year hosted by Sarah Travers and George Clarke and also saw a keynote address from the Head of the Northern Ireland Civil Service, Dr Jayne Brady.

In a highly competitive field, Babcock Rail was selected by the panel of judges as this year’s project winner for Achieving Excellence in Partnering as they demonstrated the benefits created by teams working together to achieve sustainable outcomes.
Collaboration took place with many statutory authorities, the public, landowners, business owners and Translink to gain track procession and yet had little perception of taking place to the passing public.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in this project!
